The publisher
Pearlbooksedition was set up in 2009 in Zurich as an independent, small publisher. With the publication of literary works in both French and German we provide a contribution to the approach between the German and the French speaking part of Switzerland.
Books which have already been published are Profil bas, a debut novel written by Hélène Rumer, in which the author depicts in a sober and demure style the delicate subject of domestic violence and "L’Histoire de Personne", thirteen short stories written by Greek author and critic Demosthenes Davvetas, whose narrative complexity with almost constrained repetitions celebrates the dissection of human relations.
Next year the German translation of Profil bas and the French translation of The Ultimate Cure written by Danish author Peter Harboe-Schmidt will be released. This novel, set in the universe of the pharmaceutical industry, is an intelligent thriller about the redeeming progression followed by a cathartic development of a man who almost goes blind because of his ambition.
